Proverbs 17:27-28--"He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding."
In our world today there are so many voices. We have the news, social media, influencers.. There are so many words out there, but I find these verses in Proverbs very interesting. We need to watch our words!
We must realize that we do not have to use a lot of words to show wisdom or understanding. The verse clearly says, "He that hath knowledge spareth his words..."
How quickly do you use your words?
Sometimes just being quiet will help us to discern the situation and have time to seek the Lord instead of our own wisdom.
