Proverbs 20:22--"Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee."
This world is a difficult place to live. So often we face difficulties, oppositions, and trouble. But the scripture is clear about our response to these things.
Recompense means to compensate or repay. When evil comes we are not suppose to recompense the evil or get payback for what is done to us.
The Bible clearly tells us that the Lord will take care of it all!
Romans 12:19--"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
So what should we do? We should wait on the Lord! We must know and remember that He will take vengeance and He will repay. We can wait on Him.
Often this is easier said than done, but we must live out the truth given to us in the word of God.
Wait on the Lord for He will repay!
