The Will of God (pt. 2)

Romans 12:1-2--"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

In this verse we see that there are different 'wills of God':

  1. The good will of God.

  2. The acceptable will of God.

  3. The perfect will of God.

Good and acceptable are fine, but I don't want them. I want to be in the perfect will of God! This is what we should strive for; the perfect will of God!

How do we find this will?

I believe this begins with simply following the will of God clearly given in scripture. After this we must seek what He would have us to do.

How do we know what He would have us to do?

  1. We must be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

  2. We must walk though the open doors that God gives us.

What has God put into your heart?

What are your desires?

What do you want to do with your life?

What would God want you to do with your life?

We must continually consider what God would have for us and be sensitive to His leading. After this we must simply walk though the open doors that God gives. If He closes a door then that must not be His will, yet He will keep the doors open for His will.

Let's seek God's will by following Him and walking though the open doors that He gives.
