Our Conversation

Philippians 3:20-21--"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

In Philippians chapter 3, Paul talks about rejoicing in the Lord, counting the cost of following Jesus, knowing Jesus better, and pressing toward the mark of the high calling of Christ. At the end of the chapter we get these two verses, 20 and 21.

Conversation means behaviour. All that we say and do make up our behaviour, and how behaviour should be heavenly! This means that we should look like Jesus! If we are living for Him then we ought to look like Him. Do you look more like Jesus today than yesterday?

Not only that but we ought to be looking for His return. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried in the grave, and rose victoriously over death, hell, and the grave! Then after a few days with His disciples He ascended back into Heaven. He left with the promise that He would come again! (John 14:1-6; Acts 1:11) Jesus will return one day! Our instruction is to look for Him! Are you looking for Him today?

And last of all, He will also change us! We will shed this body of flesh for a glorious body as Jesus Christ!

In the end Jesus will take care of it all! And we can trust Him!

So the real questions are these:

1) Is your conversation heavenly?

2) Are you looking for Him?

3) Do you trust that He will take care of all things?
