Jonah 3:1--"And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,"
Jonah was a great prophet of God. God used him as a prophet and then God called him to go to Ninevah and preach. Ninevah was the capitol of Assyria and the fierce enemies of Israel. Jonah did not want to go, so he went in the opposite direction.
Rebellion. Jonah was in complete rebellion against God. The Lord woke him up with a great storm on the sea. Jonah finally got right with God and went to Ninevah to preach.
I like this verse where God speaks to Jonah the second time. I thank God for second chances! Many of us were like Jonah.. we ran from God. All of us at some point have been rebellious. But thank God for the moments where God speaks again! Listen to God and thank Him for the second chances!
