Proverbs 24:16--"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief."
There is nothing wrong with a fall. When you look though the Bible you will constantly see men and women who fall. Unfortunately, in many ways, this is human nature; we fall over and over again. Adam, Abraham, Moses, David, Peter, Paul... the list is continuous. Man and women both fall.
But, praise the Lord, the fall is not the end of the story. The fall isn't even all that important. The important thing is what we do after the fall!
A just man falls seven times, but he does not stay down! The just man gets back up again! If you are anything like me, you have made mistakes, but we cannot let our mistakes, our failures, our falls define who we are going to be moving forward. We cannot even let these things hold us back. This is exactly what Satan wants for us.
Most of the time I am my own worst enemy. I cause myself more trouble than anything else in this world. But I must move forward. I must get back up again. We must get back up and keep going for the cause of Christ.
Psalm 37:23-24--"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand."
Jude 24-25--"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."
Get back up after you fall and keep going!
